🔥 Antique Mid Century Modern Italian Abstract Still Life Oil Painting - Ranni For Sale

This is a very nice and visually striking Antique Mid Century Modern Italian Abstract Still Life Oil Painting on canvas, depicting a fruit basket, milk tureen, wine bottle, coffee cup and Moka pot. These items, and the painting as a whole are stylistically hard edged and very modern, with black diagonal and horizontal grid-like brush strokes underpinning the scene. This work approximately dates to the 1950’s - 1960’s. Signed: “Ranni” in the lower left. This work is additionally signed on the stretcher bars: “Giorgio Ranni 1928” and Giorgio Ranni 1928 born in Livornio (Livorno?) Italy.” I could not much information on this artist, but perhaps you know more about him and his work? Good condition overall, with light craquelure in some areas, and one small tear to the lower left of the canvas (please see photos.) Approximately 29 1/8 x 37 1/8 inches (including frame.)
