This vintage 1940s summer dress is a beautiful addition to any wardrobe.
It’s handmade of butter yellow cotton with shoulder straps that fasten by cleverly buttoning over the shoulders to the front bodice and a metal side zip. Both the neckline and the pockets have a fun pointed scallop edge. The adorable matching wide lapel jacket buttons at the waist to complete the look. It also has a wide front pleat and large hip pockets for convenience.
Please check measurements as the fabric doesn’t have give. I would estimate this at a size XS-SM, depending on your measurements.
There are a few loose stitches, a scratch mark on the front skirt, wear to the edges of the jacket lapels, and some stains at inner jacket collar, right dress bodice, and hem. These are all minor and the set is in good, wearable condition.
