• Bogen 25 watt X 2 DB212 Stereo Tube Amp

The custom made Acoustic-Craft cabinet is furniture grade walnut plywood veneer with a cherry hue. The Acoustic-Craft line was custom hand-made furniture made for the mid-century audiophile or high-end dealers who wanted a cabinet to house selected components, and was made to fit each piece exactly. It has been cleaned and polished using Howard’s products. It has 2 top opening lids with piano hinges that reveal the amp and tuner on the left and the turntable on the Right. Sliding lower doors open to reveal record storage slots below. It has some minor scratches and wear marks but none that are serious. One lower leg has been repaired - primarily on the inside though this is not visibly detracting from the overall piece.

The ported matching speaker cabinets have been cleaned and had their original grill cloths replaced with matching grill fabric. There are some wear marks and scratches but overall the cabinets are in excellent shape. The tuned lower ports feature a bent-wood scoop that forms the port horn - very custom. They feature 12” Stephens Tru-sonic 120cx coaxial drivers. The Stephens Tru-sonic Manufacturing Company was established in 1938 by Robert Lee Stephens, former draftsman at MGM studios and participant in their groundbreaking Shearer Horn Two Way Loudspeaker project along with Jim Lansing of JBL fame, John Hilliard and others.Stephens Tru-sonic was one of the most respected names in hi-fi in the 1950s. Their drivers - in particular the big co-axials - were able to compete on equal or better than equal terms with Altec-Lansing and JBL. They use aluminum baskets, large magnets, large edge-wound voicecoils, and featured free-cone suspension. The speaker drivers are in excellent condition with no rips or tears in the cones. If you do a search on for Trusonic 120 speakers you’ll find that these drivers alone are worth $400- 600.00.

The Bogen 12 watt X 2 DB212 Stereo Tube Amp was cleaned and restored and all electrolytic capacitors replaced as well as any drifted resistors. A few marginal tubes were also replaced. It has 4 selectable inputs: Tape, Phono, Tuner and Aux which can be used with your iPod, iPhone or any other media player. An input cable is included that sits inside the lower cabinet. It’s a high quality mid grade amp powered with 6V6 output tubes. It’s quiet and even though rated at 12 watts per channel - it can drive the Tru-sonics and get very loud. The faceplate shows some wear on the lettering around the input selector.

The Bogen T661 AM-FM Tuner was also cleaned and restored, all electrolytic capacitors replaced as well as any drifted resistors. It pulls in AM and FM Signals with no problem.

The Musicmaster 3 speed Turntable 25B12GST with a Model 2.5 12” single point uni-pivot arm is a very unique and sought after turntable. Vinyl enthusiast take note: It\'s a manual. idler drive record player, 3 speed (78, 45 and 33 rpm), with a eddy brake type pitch control.
