2002 Poster Oregon/Washington BorderClash Steve Prefontaine, Rick Riley Photo For Sale

Up for grabs is this rare poster promoting the 2002 Oregon vs Washington Border Clash IV cross country race pitting the top high school runners from Oregon and Washington. The race was sponsored and promoted by Nike and this was the fourth iteration. The runners featured in the photo are Steve Prefontaine and Rick Riley, the two most accomplished high school cross country runners to ever come out of Oregon and Washington. The photo is from a collegiate race as Steve attended the University of Oregon and Rick attended Washington State University. Both became world class runners. This is a very cool and rare piece of sports memorabilia for those who love track and cross country. The poster was and is laminated in clear plastic as it was mostly posted outdoors for the original event. I have two of these so if you miss out, look for the other to be saleed at a later date.
