This silver shaving mug monogrammed C. Reid and dated 1896 makes for a luxurious addition to your grooming routine or collectible shaving collection. This rare, antique shaving mug includes a brush holder on the rim as well as an insert. The insert sits on top of the mug and is used as a dish for lathering shaving soap. Fill the
base with hot water, suspend the dish over top, and the lather stays hot while shaving.
The mug measures approximately 3.5 inches tall and 3.5 inches across the rim. The unique dimpled design as well as ornate flower and leaf border on the base add to the elegance of this piece.
The mug has some tarnish and plating loss consistent with age (see pictures).
