Antique Black Powder Gun Pistol Flask Pouch Brass, James Dixon, Civil War? For Sale

Here we have an Antique Black Powder Gun orPistol Flaskmanufactured byJames Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, England.The flask is marked James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield on the base of the neck of the brass spout. Dixon manufactured items during the U.S. Civil War and Indian Wars periods (mid-late1800\'s). These items made their way to the US and were used in some of our historcial wars. This is an original gun powder flask, not a reproduction. The flask body appears to be made out of brass and has the original tarnish, with one side being more heavily tarnished. No cleaning has been done to even this out. The opening thumb valve appears to be properly working. The flask measures: 7-1/2\"L x 2-3/4\"W x 1-1/2\" thick.
