See the photos of this sponge bucket for a Civil War cannon that is 100% original in every way. I bought this in the early 1990s and have had it in my collection ever since. This bucket is sound and complete but the original wooden lid has seen a lot of use as it is a bit splintered, has old period repairs, etc. Otherwise, very nice. \'Don\'t know if it holds water but I see no reason why it shouldn\'t. A nice, very heavy, old, originalpiece that is 100% genuine in every way.I am nearing retirement and am selling some of my nicer items.
