Gent\'s Illinois Watch Co. \"Major\" model 17 jewel white gold filled wristwatch For Sale

Wonderful Illinois Watch Co. \"Major\" model wristwatch in 14K white gold filled case by Keystone Watch Case Co. (No model number stamped inside case back). Serial number of movement 5,189,990 indicates 1929 manufacture, after the Hamilton takeover of the Illinois factory. The 3/0 size movement is 17 jewel grade 24, running good and keeping time to within a couple of minutes a day. Glass crystal is like new. The case is in good condition showing minimal wear-through, confined mostly to the lugs. Bit of a gouge on case side due to case opener use. The \"exploding\" or radial numeral dial is exceptionally nice-obviously a refinish, but probably the nicest dial refinish I\'ve ever seen. I had the hands re-lumed to match.
