This sale is for a pair of Infinity SM 152 speakers finished in \'Rosewood\' veneer.
Most of the speakers in the SM line up were finished in a jarring, bright yellow Oak, or a slightly less agressive honey Oak, or a triple black Ash, making the \'Rosewood\' finish the rarest, best looking, and most desireable.
All drivers are OEM Infinity, and are original to this pair of speakers, as are the crossovers, dials, badges, terminals, grilles, and internal wiring.
The speakers have been very well taken care of, and never abused, or modified.
The potentiometers for the midrange and tweeter are smooth, quiet, the black grille frames are in very good condition as are the screens which have no stains, large holes, or snags, and the outer veneer has no scuffs, scratches, dents, or dings of any consequence.
Power Rating:
Recommended amplifier power for Infinity SM 152 speakers is 10 to 300 watts.
Efficiency:The nominal impedance rating is 8 ohms.and the sensitivity rating is 102 dB.The super high sensitivity means they will play very loud, with very low distortion, with very little power....making them ideal for large rooms, or low powered tube, or solid state amps.
Frequency Response:The frequency response range for Infinity SM 152 speakers is 44 Hz to 25 kHz, plus or minus 3 db. The crossover frequencies are 500 Hz and 5.5 kHz.
Woofer, Midrange, and Tweeter:
Infinity SM 152 speakers have one 15-inch woofer, two 4.5\" mid-range drivers, and one tweeter in each cabinet. .
Driver construction:Both of the woofers, and all four of the 4.5-inch mid-range drivers have cones coated with polypropylene to make them lighter and stiffer than un-treated drivers. The cone of the 1\" tweeter is made of polycell foam for light weight, and smooth response.
Each speaker has a gain control for the tweeter, and one for the midrange drivers allowing the listener to contour the output of the individual drivers for a more balanced response in any room.
