Up for your consideration today is a Ty Cobb & Christy Mathewson first edition print. This 11 x 14 print was distributed by Product Exposures, Inc. in 1993, and it is a licensed product of Major League Baseball. On the back is an informationsheet which describes some of the items in the print along with a brief bio of each player. Some very interesting items that are shown include the oldest known baseball at that time and Ty Cobbs famous fishing hat. The two giant poster reproductions of: "Christy and Ty" are from the famous and rare 1909 T205 Gold Bordered Baseball Card Series which were offered in packages of a tobacco product. There is also a certificate statement on the backthat reads, It is herebycertifiedthat this is a first edition print made directly from the original negative.The memorabilia featured are from a private collection.The photograph was taken by renowned former LIFEMagazine photographer, Henry Groskinsky. This print is in excellent condition and still in the original plastic shrinkwrap whichshows nosigns of wear. It will make a awesome addition to any baseball collection.
