THIS SADDLE IS USED BY THE MOUNTED ARTILLERY CREW MEMBERS WHO DROVE THE HORSE TEAM PULLING THE CANNON. IN THE STANDARD SIX HORSE TEAM, A DRIVER WAS ASSIGNED TO THE LEAD PAIR, SWING PAIR, AND WHEEL PAIR OF HORSES.
THIS SADDLE DISPLAYS WEAR AND NEEDS RESTORATION. THE STIRRUPS I BELIEVE ARE ORIGINAL. SADDLE IS BRASS BOUND. THEIR ON THE BRASS CREST .... YOU\'LL SEE IT\'S MARKED U.S.A.
