This Vintage 1962 Gibson Les Paul Junior (SG Junior) Electric Guitar is in excellent condition. It shows some honest playwear over the years including some light dings and scratches here and there on the body as well as some light weather checking that is most noticeable on the back of the body (See pictures). The pickguard is lifting from the body slightly on the bass side (see picture). The frets show some moderate wear and some light divots in some of the root positions but the guitar chords clearly all the way up the neck and the frets have plenty of life before a refret would need to be considered.
This guitar came to us in all original condition although the original bridge showed some stress cracks near to posts and the control knobs had been changed along the way. We have upgraded that bridge to a nicely aged Mojoaxe Lightning Bolt compensated wraparound bridge which fits perfectly with this guitar and makes this one a rock-solid playing instrument (original bridge will be included with the sale)! We also installed a lightly aged vintage-correct set of hop hat knobs with silver reflectors which look great as well. The tuning machines, pickup, and electronics are all factory original and in great working condition.
This guitar has been professionally set up and plays great! The neck is straight, the action is low and comfortable, and the frets are in excellent condition. The truss rod is fully functional for any future tweaks that need to be made. This guitar will come complete with a non-original vintage Gibson Chainsaw case. This is a fantastic playing and sounding 1962 Gibson Les Paul Junior that would be a fantastic addition to any player\'s collection!
