This is great looking unique mic that I purchased years ago. Sadly the element was dead when I received it so I waited till I could get the right element to convert it to a Harp Mic. Listed are modifications done.The old element, wiring and connector were gutted and left with an empty shell
The bottom connector housing was chopped. I fabricated a new one from a EV mic connector fitting.
A switchcraft 1/4 inch mono plug connector was installed in the new housing. Just plug and play to your amp!
A new ten detent volume control was installed. The detents prevent accidental changes to you volume setting during play. Topped of with a new control knob.
All new wiring through out.
I installed a Shure 99A86 Controlled Magnetic Transducer from Dec. 1967. It sounds awesome!! Plenty of output 1000 Ohms+ Easily overdrives my 15 Watt amp. It has that, what I can describe as that CM honk. Great tone. This Microphone has been tested and is in excellent working order. It has character scuffs and nicks. I wanted to leave the original finish on there. I really like the vintage look. Pleas see the pictures, and feel free to ask any questions you may have. I\'m sure you\'ll be pleased.
