Vintage Gotham Audio / Lexicon Delta-T Model 101 Audio Delay System. Developed by MIT engineers, this time ground-breaking time delay was released in 1971. Was produced in limited numbers, a truly rare machine.
This was an estate sale find, so I do not know the history of this unit. The unit does power up, the power light works. I was able to successfully pass an audio signal through the unit to an amplifier while in \'bypass\' mode. The signal in \'bypass\' is strong and clear. However, whenever either one of the output cards is moved from bypass to \'delay on\', all I hear is white noise. I don\'t hear any signal from output 1, and a very faint signal from output 2. It is so faint, I can\'t tell if the delay is working or not.
Information on this unit is pretty scarce on the net, so I do not know if it is complete or not. As far as I can tell, it looks complete. Cosmetics are fair, with some scratches, chips, light corrosion, etc.
I have not attempted any repairs, or swapped out any components. The unit is just as I found it, although I did clean it up a bit.
This is a very rare piece of audio history. When was the last time anyone saw one come up for sale?
