You are looking at a very rare and unique find. A1920\'s era microphone floor stand (model unknown) with a deco design for any vintage microphone you wish to display it with. This stand measures from 39 incheslow to 57 inches tall once fully deployed in the highest position. Tall enough for most any user.
Made during the late 1920\'s in the USA but this stand lacks any stamp markings and I have never seen this model before. It\'s quite unique and would be great for any older spring mic with a ring as it certainly that time line but almost any 1930\'s crystal or carbon mic would look nice as well.
You\'ll notice right away that the two stems are made of brass which was pretty much the norm when floor stands were first made. Chroming the brass stems really didn\'t become a common thing until the 1930\'s.
The locking screw works perfectly to raise and lower the upper stem. The 5/8 thread on top is without damage and allows user to mate any American screw on microphone. As seen in the pics the brass stems show some lite wear but only in the form of tarnish. There are no dents or heavy scratches. Also, the stem unscrews from the base which is always a bonus as many times they are seized from corrosion.
It should be noted that the original base is made of cast iron and quite heavy. There is just slight corrosion on the bottom. There are sign of the original paint on top of the base. There are no pads on the bottom but if you\'d like some heavy duty felt pads i can apply some for you? Just ask.
Again, super rare and fully functional stand sure to compliment any older mic you wish to display with. Base measure 9 1/4 inches across.
