Vintage Pair of3 1/4\" Painted Bisque Dollhouse Dolls Germany

This is a pair of adorable German dollhouse dolls. They are painted bisque, measuring 3 1/4\" tall. He is wearing a red vest, white blouse with light green silk tie, brown pants and a black hat. He has a beautifully painted face and curly blond hair.

The girlwears a white blouse, brown skirt and red check apron. Her hair is painted black. There is a spot of paint missing in the front and I think there might have been a tiny flower or gold circleglued there for hair decoration. She is not painted asnicely as the boy doll is. Shehas thenumber 5580 incised on her back and Germany on the back of her neck.

There is no mark that I can see on the boy as his clothes are sewn onto the doll and the green silk tie covers his neck. The dolls are jointed at the shoulders and hips. The boy\'s clothing restricts motion. The girl has a mark on her head. I do not know if this was painted or if there had originally been some tiny decoration glued on at that spot. I am not going to try to remove it, but would rather leave that for the next owner to decide.
