Filled this can up with 2 gallons of gasoline, tightened the spout and shook it to check for leaks. It is a good seal. No gasoline odor either. The red release tab is a little hard to push in, but it does work. Gasoline flows into your equipment's tank by inserting the spout into the filler and pushing the release then push spout to start the flow. Be sure to relieve any pressure that has built up by pushing the red release and moving the spout in with can upright before you try to pour. The warning to vent before using is imprinted on the side of the can. The instructions are supposedly under the label which is supposed to peel back, but I could never get it to peel without removing it completely.

This can is EXTREMRLY difficult to use because of the overkill in the pouring features. Just plan on taking the spout out and throwing it away and use a funnel. This product is awful.

Exactly as advertised. Pretty easy to pour (I replaced the government spout with a real one). No vent, but easily taken care of by drilling a tiny hole in top of handle.
