Thomas Maddock\'s Sons Madison-Jet ToiletCirca: 1927This toilet is in nice condition for its 99 years with relatively little wear and is in better overall shape than wenormally find, with only some typical crazing and small hairline cracks present. The top horizontal surface isdamage and wear free. There is slight discoloration on the right side and a couple small marks a few inches tothe back. These marks look to be imperfections built into the piece during the manufacturing process. Thereare others in different spots on the toilet. All are tiny and mainly in the form of colored \"dots\". The interiorof the bowl has some light crazing and just a hint of discoloration, but on the whole, it is very good. Theexterior is fine overall from top to bottom. There is crazing at the front (mainly down low where it isslightly discolored), some around the water intake valve on the left side, and a little on the right. Theonly other area found to point out are some very faint, small hairline cracks at the valve that arevirtually invisible when the toilet is installed. This has not been an issue and is guaranteed toremain that way in the future. The water intake valve\'s metal portion is in good shape, andthe rubber gasket may or may not need to be replaced. The underside of the toilet has beenthoroughly cleaned and now looks nice, and there is no damage or wear present. The seatand lid assembly looks good on the top of the lid, the seat, and the undersides with onlysome light wear. The rubber cushions are not present, and this has caused two wearmarks on the seat. The chrome is excellent with no pitting, and it has a brightmirror-like finish. Please see the pictures for further details.
