  Safety Considerations

  • Verify that the new door lock latch aligns properly with the mounting holes on the door frame.
  • Avoid overtightening the latch as it can deform it or the door frame, leading to malfunction.
  • Check and clear any debris inside the door cavity to facilitate smooth operation.
  • After the installation is done, manually operate the latch multiple times to ensure it engages and disengages smoothly.

  Installation Instructions

  • Place the vehicle on a level surface and open the driver-side door completely.
  • Remove any interior panel or trim pieces if required and access the door latch assembly of the vehicle.
  • Locate and remove the fasteners securing the existing latch assembly to the door frame. Carefully detach the latch mechanism from the door.
  • Position the new door latch in the same orientation as the old one. 
  • Secure the latch by tightening the fasteners removed earlier. Ensure the latch is firmly in place, but avoid over-tightening.
  • At the end, reassemble the door interior if removed in starting to access the latch assembly. Make sure all components are securely fastened and the door operates properly.

  Additional Installation Tips:

  • If the new latch does not come with a cable, ensure that the existing cable from the old latch is compatible and in good condition for reuse.
  • Lubricate the latch mechanism with a suitable lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
  • If you encounter resistance or difficulty during installation, double-check the alignment of the latch and internal components.

  When to Replace?

  • If the door latch is difficult to operate and requires excessive force to open and close.
  • If there is any visible damage, such as cracks, rust, or other signs of wear.
  • When there is inconsistent latching, the door does not latch securely or rattles while driving.

  18-month Warranty: This product is covered for one year, 100,000 miles after the installation, or 18 months after the purchase, whichever comes first. The product’s warranty is only active when the parts have defective material or workmanship defaults. Inappropriate application will lead to the dismissal of the warranty. Additionally, the warranty doesn’t cover the parts that fail or get damaged due to misuse, misapplication, or accident. If the customer wishes to return/replace this product under warranty, reach out to us. The team will verify by doing a thorough inspection and if they find a defect that is covered in the above-mentioned warranty; the product will be replaced without any charge. We disclaim liability for labor or consequential damages of any nature. We request the customers to wait until the claim is resolved and settled from our end after the replacement is requested under warranty.
