Because users must pay to deposit their coins, this is not a typical “dump bank” where coin roll hunters commonly return large quantities of already searched coins. That means these bags have a much lower likelihood of containing any previously searched coins compared to bags sourced from free coin machines.The pennies are collected directly from the credit union’s coin machine by employees and then placed into tamper-evident bank bags and sealed for shipment back into circulation. Through a personal connection, I am able to purchase these sealed bags before they are sent out.For copper stackers, visible inspection of the bags shows plenty of pre-1982 copper cents. For coin roll hunters, these bags may contain wheat cents, proofs, error coins, Canadian cents, off-denomination coins, and other interesting finds that regularly turn up in circulation.
