- Details:The trilobite is beautifully centered on its original grey shale matrix block. It features fantastic preservation with clearly defined segments and a prominent axial lobe. The shale shows gorgeous, authentic "fanning" scratch prep marks around the fossil, showcasing the manual preparation style of mid-century craftsmen.
THE VINTAGE FRAMING & PROVENANCE:
This piece is a true time capsule of 1960s decor. It is housed in an open, glasslessdouble-shadowbox framemade of distressed wood with a textured burlap/linen matting insert. The back of the frame provides excellent proof of its vintage provenance:
