The Propulsion System Of The Apollo Spacecraft Consists Of A Main Engine For The Service Module And A Dedicated Engine For The Lunar Module. The Rocket Engine Equipped In The Service Module Has A Thrust Of 20000 Pounds, Responsible For Orbit Correction, Detachment From Earth' S Gravity, And Braking Operations When Returning To Earth. The Lunar Module Adopts A Split Design And Is Equipped With A 10500 Pound Thrust Lunar Landing Engine For Precise Adjustment Of Thrust To Achieve Soft Landing; The Upgrade Is Equipped With A 3500 Pound Thrust Engine For Lunar Takeoff And Docking With The Command Module. The Entire Propulsion System Relies On Computer Navigation To Automatically Calculate The Ignition Time Based On Pre Entered Orbital Parameters.
