Wonderful old collection of 11 vintage blown glass Christmas ornaments found together in an early R.H. Macy & Co. New York box.
The ornaments are a charming mixed assortment of colors including red, blue, green, gold, amber and silver, with a variety of old metal caps and original-looking wire/string hangers. One silver ornament has colorful applied bands around the center.
The ornaments appear to be of varying ages, likely primarily circa 1930s-1950s. I have not found maker\'s marks and cannot confirm the manufacturer of individual ornaments.
The box is particularly interesting: an old R.H. Macy & Co. New York box with an original mailing/shipping label on the underside that appears to be postmarked July 26, 1934. The box is handwritten \"Christmas Ornament.\"
Please note that I cannot confirm that all—or any—of the ornaments were originally sold in this particular box. They were found together as shown and I am keeping the collection intact.
The Macy\'s box has considerable age-related wear including staining, tears, creases, tape/tape residue, edge wear and general deterioration. Original interior dividers and old tissue are present.
Please examine all photographs closely for individual condition. These are fragile old glass ornaments and are being sold as found.
