About the 1890-CC Morgan Dollar:
The 1890-CC is highly coveted by numismatists building a Carson City mintmark set. Unlike earlier CC dates that were heavily preserved in the GSA Treasury hoards, the vast majority of the 1890-CC mintage was released directly into circulation or melted under later government acts. Because problem-free examples command significant price premiums, \"Details\" graded coins offer a popular and affordable option for collectors.Despite the noted cleaning, surface scratches, and rim damage from its past, this coin boasts clear Extra Fine (XF40) design details. The eagle\'s wings, Liberty\'s cap, and the major hair curls remain well-defined, making this an excellent budget-friendly filler piece for a historic collection.
