1891 S Morgan Dollar PCGS MS62 - Clean, Solid Strike, Good Eye Appeal for Grade
There are ugly MS62s. This is NOT one of those, its quite nice for the grade with good eye appeal.
The fields are lustrous and reflective. It\'s clean and untoned with just enough surface \"crust\" to let you know it wasn\'t dipped or otherwise cleaned. Solid strike that shows off the eagle\'s feathers nicely.
It\'s one of those coins where at first glance you don\'t think it\'s an MS62. It\'s when you pay for it that you\'re happy it is.
The 1891-S isn\'t rare by any means, but I don\'t see many uncirculated ones around at shows unless a dealer has a tableful of Morgans stacked. So it\'s an odd coincidence that I have two of them for sale - this one and another MS62 from NGC. To be honest, I find the other one prettier but I\'d be happy with either in my collection. (The other is priced higher though.) Check it and the other Morgans out in our shop; we\'re posting more this week!
