Real photo postcard with a hand written identification and date. View of a train wreck in Concord Junction, Massachusetts that occurred in the summer of 1906. Concord Junction was as village in the town of Concord named for the intersection of two 19th century railroads. The village was located where the Fitchburg Railroad and the Framingham/Lowell Railroad crossed. The derailment occurred on the Fitchburg rail line, which at the time of this photo was under lease by the Boston & Maine Railroad (B&M later purchased the line in 1919). The Village of Concord Junction had its name changed to West Concord in 1927. Condition: Card has toning (yellowing from age) and very minor soiling around the edges. There is slight edge wear and minor corner \"bumps\" as well.
