1911 Fullsize Jaguar Ironwood For Sale

Intense deep coloration with classic jaguar details. Excellent contrast, presentation grade set. Straight heel with taper for the modern custom look. Milled for ambisafety.A spectacular species of wood! Responsibly sourced, ethically harvested from the US side of the Sonoran Desert. Very difficult to work on account of its density. High cutting resistance. Desert Ironwood takes a good natural polish and is very stable in service. The small size of the tree—in combination with its restricted distribution and relative rarity—means that Desert Ironwood is in scarce supply. Prices for raw wood are extremely high for a domestic hardwood, on par with many high-end exotic imported hardwoods. Desert Ironwood is perhaps one of the most highly-regarding of all woods in grip-making, with its density, stability, and grain patterns and colors creating a unique combination of characteristics that’s ideal for 1911 pistol grips. Finished to 3000+ grit, sealed with resin modified tung oil. All our grips are precision crafted by master craftsmen in the USA! 132417
