Scarce limited edition set, this being copy No. 637 from the deluxe edition issued for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. Illustrated throughout with nearly two hundred reproductions of paintings, sculpture, architectural views, and other Fine Arts exhibits from the landmark 1915 World’s Fair held in San Francisco.
Both volumes remain in their original publisher’s cloth bindings with gilt lettering and top edges gilt. Overall condition is Very Good. Bindings remain solid, one volume shows only slight opening of front hinge (shown) while remaining firmly attached. The spines exhibit moderate soiling, with additional soiling and light fading to the rear covers from age and handling. Many pages remain uncut (unopened) along the fore edge, a characteristic often found in deluxe editions of the period. Interiors are generally clean with light, expected age toning and occasional foxing. Please review all photographs carefully for condition details.
