Offered here is a classic 1918 hardcover printing of Joseph Conrad\'s masterpiece Nostromo: A Tale of the Seaboard. This is the first edition thus from J.M. Dent & Sons (London & Toronto), featuring Conrad\'s important new 7-page Author\'s Note (written in 1917), which provides fascinating insight into the novel\'s creation and is not found in the original 1904 editions.
Published during the later years of Conrad\'s life, this edition helped keep his most ambitious work in print and is sought after by collectors for its historical significance and the added authorial commentary.
