- Circular acid-etched “Made in Czechoslovakia” mark on the base
- Approximately 4-3/8" high and 4-5/16" across the base
The bold symmetrical pattern and sharply tapered form are characteristic of interwar Czech geometric glass associated with the Karl Palda tradition. No Karl Palda signature was found; this example is therefore identified as Czech and described as Karl Palda style rather than definitively attributed to that maker.
Condition
- Two small bites/chips: one on each of two separate clear glass segments
- Metal fitting has age-related surface wear, spotting and oxidation
- Fabric bulb covering has wear and a small opening near the hose connection
- Bulb remains pliable and pumps air
- Atomizer has not been tested with perfume or other liquid
- Additional light surface wear consistent with age
