Vintage 1940s black Bakelite clamper bracelet with a sculptural rounded profile and original brass hardware.
A beautiful lightweight vintage cuff in glossy black Bakelite with a simple, substantial form. The bracelet is constructed with two curved overlapping ends joined by a spring-loaded brass hinge, allowing the cuff to open approximately 1" for putting on and removing. Four small brass eyelet/rivet details flank the hinge, adding a wonderful industrial accent to the otherwise minimal design.
Despite its bold, substantial appearance, the bracelet is surprisingly lightweight and sits beautifully on the wrist. The hinged clamper construction makes it easy to put on and remove while retaining the clean appearance of a solid cuff when closed.

Condition
Very good vintage condition with light age-appropriate surface wear, including minor scratches/scuffs visible on close inspection. Brass hardware shows natural age-related patina. The spring-loaded clamper hinge is fully functional, with moderate rather than very tight spring tension; it opens and closes properly and holds securely when worn. No cracks or significant chips noted. Please review all photographs closely for condition.
