This week I'm offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. In 1954, Topps issued a set featuring prominent men and women from history, including Presidents, scientists, artists and anyone else you might encounter in a history class. The cards, issued in perforated pairs, featured really nice painted portraits of the subjects, along with informative text on the back. The Look N' See set has remained a favorite with collectors ever since. Here I have card #122 from the set, showcasing Captain William Kidd. It displays terrific colors, but has multiple creases (which don't break the surface of the image). A very nice example of this popular set. See scans for condition. Not too bad for a card that's sixty years old. This would be a terrific addition to any collection!
