Original Vintage 1955 Hotel Zum Ritter St Georg Restaurant Menu Heidelberg Baden-Württemberg Germany
The Hotel zum Ritter St. Georg occupies Heidelberg\'s celebrated late-Renaissance gable house on the Hauptstraße, built in 1592 by Charles Bélier, a Walloon Huguenot cloth merchant who had fled Tournai for the Palatinate and later became the city\'s mayor. It was among the very few townhouses to survive the French destruction of Heidelberg in 1693, and was already documented in use as a guesthouse by 1681. By the time of this 1955 menu the historic house had long served as the old town\'s landmark inn and restaurant, as it still does today.
It measures 11.5\" x 6.25\" closed and 18.75\" x 11.5\" open
