A terrific piece of 1957 Topps history featuring Yankee fan favorite Tony Kubek in his rookie card appearance. This scarce-series #312 presents in EX condition with nice corners showing some honest wear and solid borders. The card is slightly off centered to the right, while the overall presentation remains attractive and very collectible. A great vintage Yankees card for collectors who enjoy early-career issues and tougher 1957 Topps cards.
Tony Kubek spent his entire nine-year Major League career with the New York Yankees and became a key part of their infield during the late 1950s and 1960s. A three-time All-Star and the 1957 American League Rookie of the Year, Kubek helped the Yankees win three World Series championships. He later became a respected baseball broadcaster and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977 as a Ford C. Frick Award recipient.
