Beautiful mid-century vintage Bulova dress watch featuring a striking silver-white dial with gold-tone Arabic numerals and indices.
This watch features an authentic in-house Bulova mechanical movement, making it a fantastic addition to any vintage watch collection or a stylish daily wearer.

Original silver-white dial with applied gold-tone Arabic numerals (12, 6, 9) and markers. Truncated date window cleanly placed at 3 o\'clock.
Authentic, factory-stamped Bulova Caliber 11ALCD manual-wind mechanical movement with 17 Jewels.
The movement bridge is stamped with the Bulova factory M5 date code, verifying internal production in 1965.
Please note that this watch features a swapped case back from a historical service repair.
While the movement and dial are original to 1965, the press-fit stainless steel case back is stamped with an L2 date code (1952) and serial number 6051605. It fits snugly and securely, but the parts are mixed era.

The watch is sold as-is with full disclosure regarding the mixed-era 1952 case back.
The watch movement itself is healthy, clean, and runs reliably for up to 4 days continuously when tested outside of its casing. However, due to internal clearance limitations with the replaced 1952 case back, casing the assembly physically pinches the train gears, causing it to stop after a few seconds. Being sold strictly \"As-Is\" for service adjustment, a casing spacer ring shim, or movement parts
A quick shake will move it for 5 seconds - Not currently wearable until that issue is resolved -
Because the movement runs for four days outside the case, I would not overhaul the movement yet. I’d solve the case fit/alignment first
Winds normally - Sets the time normally - Changes the date correctly - Runs 4 days outside the case
Stops after being cased - Runs only 5 seconds after a gentle shake
Because the mechanical engine itself is verified to be in great working order, this is an incredibly easy and highly rewarding project for any vintage watch hobbyist, collector, or watchmaker to drop into place and align.

I checked the available Bulova references, and case serial 605106 is not matched to a named catalog model in the currently available databases. This is not unusual—many early-1950s Bulova case numbers have not yet been definitively linked to their marketing names
