Thurman Munson spent his entire 11-year Major League career with the New York Yankees and became one of the franchise’s most beloved players. The 1970 American League Rookie of the Year went on to win the 1976 AL MVP Award, make seven All-Star teams, and serve as Yankees captain. Munson helped lead New York to back-to-back World Series championships in 1977 and 1978 and finished his career with a .292 batting average, 113 home runs, and 996 RBIs.
