Complete 4-into-2 exhaust system removed from a 1981 Honda Gold Wing GL1100 Interstate.
Includes the complete left and right header assemblies, both chrome mufflers, crossover pipe, clamps and attached mounting brackets/hardware exactly as shown in the photos.
This does not appear to be the original Honda factory exhaust system. It appears to be a period aftermarket 4-into-2 system. Based on its construction, crossover arrangement, cylindrical chrome mufflers and turndown exhaust tips, it closely resembles the MAC 4-2 Turndown exhaust system offered for the GL1100, although no manufacturer markings have been located and the exact brand cannot be confirmed.
Overall this is in very nice surviving condition for its age. The chrome mufflers remain bright and presentable with relatively minor age-related wear. The header pipes show normal heat discoloration, surface oxidation and staining. There is some surface rust/oxidation around the mounting brackets, crossover and other unfinished areas as pictured. There are also a couple areas on the header pipes where the finish has been worn or cleaned through, visible in the photos.
No obvious major crash damage or large dents noted. Exhaust tips, mounting tabs and crossover assembly are intact. Please examine all photos closely for exact cosmetic condition.
Compatibility:
Designed for the 1980–1982 Honda GL1100 Gold Wing platform and should be applicable to the standard, Interstate and Aspencade models when replacing the exhaust as a complete system. Both MAC and Jardine offered complete 4-into-2 systems specifically for the 1980–82 GL1100; 1983 uses a different exhaust arrangement and should not be assumed to be a direct fit.
