Offered as one lot are four complete original New York Times newspapers, covering four consecutive historic days at the beginning of the Persian Gulf War / Operation Desert Storm.

* Saturday, January 19, 1991
Together, these newspapers document the rapidly unfolding opening days of the Gulf War—from the expiration of the deadline and preparations for military action, through the opening air war, Iraq’s missile attacks on Israel, and the search for Iraqi mobile missile launchers.
The January 17 issue is especially historic, covering the beginning of Operation Desert Storm and the U.S.-led air attacks against Iraq and occupied Kuwait.
These copies are particularly interesting because they came from the personal collection of an individual who worked for The New York Times.
All four newspapers are complete and appear unread, rather than loose front pages or incomplete display sections. They have been stored for approximately 35 years and show normal age-related toning and minor storage/edge wear. Please review photos carefully for exact condition.
