The 1991 Shani Nichelle Barbie is a vintage collectible doll by Mattel that is part of the Barbie franchise. The short-lived 11 1/2” fashion doll line designed by Kitty Black Perkins debuted in September 1991 and included Shani, Asha, and Nichelle. This African-American Barbie doll has black hair, brown eyes, and a dark complexion, making it unique among the Barbie dolls manufactured in the 1990s. Nichelle's clothing can be converted into a ballerina tutu. Her accessories include a hair pick, pair of shoes, and multi-purpose gold thread that can function as a hair jewel, belt, and necklace. The set includes original accessories and is unopened in its original packaging. However, the box is damaged as shown in the pictures.
