A rare cut paper silhouette of two sisters \"Mary Elizabeth May\" and \"Lois Emma May\".The silhouettes are enhanced with gold paint on the head and waist.I was able to find a reference online to a third sister Florence (1845-1923) .These two sisters were daughters of Edward Collet May and Mary Elizabeth Atkins.The image size is 9\" X 7\" and including the period frame the overall size is 12 1/4\" X 10\".
