Features polychrome enamel ho-o, or phoenixes, amid blooming flowers and geometric repeating pattern decoration.
Blue enamel covers underside base
Palette includes white, pink, blues, black, iron red, green, and yellow
Flower finial attached with handcut square bolt
Piece dates to the 1890s, during the Meiji era (1868 - 1912).
Goldstone cloisonne includes use of colloidal copper particles to create the item\'s \"glittering\" effect.
