Place the test source as close as possible to the Geiger tube inside your meter/counter/dosimeter. If you don't know where the tube is, check your manual, Google it, or ask the manufacturer.Do notopen, as there is high voltage present!
If this is for a Victoreen CDV-715, or similar survey meter with ion chamber, this will not work for you. Your meter is not sensitive enough.
If you own a model shown in the last picture, please do not bother testing it. They are known fake Geiger counters. Sorry.
This item has evolved over the years, to become what I believe is the safest, most useful, affordable check source available anywhere. It's a tough laminated material that is resistant to breakage. It will not shed, become sticky or crumbly. In a clean environment, the card is tested, inspected, and placed in a new plastic bag with included information shown. Stock images shown.
