Item Description

Here is a great antique and rare book set regarding the American Geography Book published in 1789 for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself! This book is in fairly good shape for being almost 200 years old.

The book is entitled, \"Ornamente aller Klassischen Kunstepochen nach den Originalen in Ihren Eigenthumlichen Farben\".That translates to\"Ornaments of all classical art epochs according to the originals in their own colors\".The book was written by Wilhelm Zahn and published by Reimer of Berlin in 1843. Sections were added to the book going thru 1848. This is a 1st Edition book.
There are 99 numbered chromolithographic plates in the book. Great colors and detailing.

Some moderate foxing and brown spotting to the pages. A few pages that have old clear tape that has yellowed on the perimeter of the page, not on the colored plates themselves. The front and back hardcovers are done in a multicolor design. Grayish tape covers the spine. Appears to be 99 plates in total, not sure if that was the full complement or not.From reading, it appears there was a plate 100, which is not with the book that we can observe. Plate 33 has come loose from the spine, still with the book. The rest of the book\'s pages are still firmly bound together. There is no musty or mildewy smell or markings in the book. The book has a faint smell of old tobacco, and I am not talking about filtered cigarettes!

Returns Policy

• Returns are accepted by seller within 30 days of receipt of itemwhere an item is not asdescribed. TheBuyer will be assessed a 15% fee of the Item Cost, plus 115% of both Shipping Costs should they decide to return this item for whatever the reason.
