The aircraft-grade aluminum mass draws ambient heat to \"press\" a perfect 55mm sphere from a square block of ice in under a minute.
Its really impressive to see in action. You simply place a large ice cube (preferably a true clear-cube but cloudy ice from silicon molds look great too) on the base of the press and place the lid on top. The weight of the press lid sliding down melts the square cube into a perfect sphere in about 10 seconds or so. Has a sort of magic-trick effect with people when unveiling the lid. The press is quite uncommon and a great foolproof way to elevate cocktails and whiskey pours. *Note: As the press functions water is obviously generated so best to have it on a tray or some type of catch.
Condition Report
This unit is in good, used condition, exhibiting the \"workhorse\" character of a professional barware tool. The exterior and Macallan emblem/logo are both in excellent shape and there is minor edge wear in the interior, standard from expected use. There is a small blemish on the underside (see photos for condition and blemishes).
