2000–2026 Kennedy & Sesquicentennial Half Dollar Complete P&D Uncirculated 54 Coin Set
Up for sale is a complete 54-coin Philadelphia and Denver Half Dollar Set spanning 2000 through 2026. The collection includes every Philadelphia and Denver business strike Kennedy Half Dollar issued from 2000 through 2025, plus the newly released 2026 Sesquicentennial Half Dollar from both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints.
All coins were sourced directly from original U.S. Mint rolls, bags, and Mint Sets and are attractive uncirculated examples. As with all Mint-issued business strike coins, minor contact marks and imperfections from the minting and packaging process may be present and should be expected. These are original uncirculated business strike coins and have never entered circulation.
What Makes This Set Special?
- Complete Philadelphia and Denver Half Dollar collection from 2000 through 2026.
- Includes all 52 Kennedy Half Dollars issued from 2000–2025.
- Includes both Philadelphia and Denver examples of the 2026 Sesquicentennial Half Dollar, a special one-year commemorative circulation issue and the first circulating U.S. half dollar in decades not to feature President Kennedy.
- Most of the coins in this set were never released into general circulation and could only be obtained through direct purchases from the U.S. Mint in rolls, bags, or Mint Sets.
- Because of their limited distribution, mintages for many of these coins are surprisingly low compared to circulating coinage.
- A number of issues have mintages of only a few million coins, making them far scarcer than most modern circulating coinage.
- Assembling a complete run of these coins from original Mint sources has become increasingly difficult and expensive.
From 2002 through 2022, the vast majority of Kennedy Half Dollars were struck primarily for collectors rather than for circulation. While a few years saw circulation-strike production, most examples never entered commerce and instead were sold directly by the U.S. Mint at premiums above face value. This has resulted in relatively modest mintages and strong collector demand.
