For sale is my 2001 Porsche Boxster with approximately 126,000 miles and the desirable 5-speed manual transmission. This is a great opportunity to own an affordable, fun-to-drive Porsche roadster that has been maintained and recently received several important repairs and upgrades.

The current top is in excellent condition, but also comes with a new top in box
The car does have a rebuilt title due to accident prior to my purchase, which is reflected in the asking price. It also has an oil leak, typical of an older Porsche and something the next owner may eventually want to address. I prefer to disclose what I know rather than represent a 25-year-old car as perfect.
This is not a museum piece—it is a driver\'s Boxster that can actually be enjoyed. With a manual transmission and naturally aspirated flat-six engine, these early Boxsters offer a driving experience that is becoming increasingly difficult to find in newer cars.
The primary reason I’m selling the car is the current oil seepage. A secondary consideration is that, as with many vehicles of this age, it has generally required some maintenance or repair a couple of times each year to keep it reliable as a daily driver.
I have owned and driven the car as my daily vehicle for approximately 10 years, and during that time I have completed a significant amount of maintenance and repair work. Major items include:
Rack and pinion replacement, with fresh power steering fluid as of December
Convertible top transmissions replaced
Brake fluid replaced
Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder replaced
Brake master cylinder replaced
Hydraulic lines for the clutch system replaced
Window regulators replaced
Water pump replaced
Alternator system extensively renewed, including the compressor and condenser
Rear control arms replaced
Fuel pump replaced
Air/oil separator replaced
Brakes serviced/replaced as needed
Front and rear bearing replaced
These repairs were completed over the course of my ownership rather than all at once. The car has been maintained with the intention of keeping it dependable enough for regular daily use.
At this point, I would prefer to sell it rather than continue addressing the periodic maintenance that comes with owning an older Porsche. I want to be upfront with any potential buyer about both the oil seepage and the vehicle’s maintenance history.
