❤️💡 BECAUSE NOTHING SAYS “SLEEP TIGHT” LIKE HAVING LUCY AND ETHEL SUPERVISE YOUR HALLWAY AT 2:37 IN THE MORNING.
Behold: a 2005 I Love Lucy “Friends Forever” night light, preserved in its original package from an era when apparently even our electrical outlets needed sitcom memorabilia.
And frankly? Correct.
The shade features Lucy and Ethel together inside a giant heart with “Friends Forever” across the top, surrounded by enough pink hearts to suggest somebody handed a scrapbook aisle to a woman named Carol and told her there were absolutely no budgetary restrictions.
This isn\'t just decorative either. It\'s a proper little plug-in night light with an on/off switch, rotating shade and the original C-7 4-watt bulb included. The shade can be turned to direct the light, presumably toward whatever part of your house is most likely to contain a poorly conceived scheme involving chocolates, grape stomping, an enormous loaf of bread or Ricky discovering that Lucy has once again done something she was VERY SPECIFICALLY told not to do.
And there\'s something deeply wonderful about the fact that somebody in 2005 looked at one of television\'s most iconic friendships and thought:
You know where these ladies belong?
The bathroom outlet.
Imagine stumbling toward the toilet at 3 AM and being softly illuminated by Lucy and Ethel like two patron saints of questionable decision-making.
No harsh overhead lighting.
No judgment.
Just FRIENDS FOREVER glowing gently from the wall while you reconsider the choices that led you here.
It has remained new in its original package since 2005, so it has never spent twenty years faithfully guarding somebody\'s hallway, guest bathroom, kitchen or deeply committed I Love Lucy shrine.
It\'s weird. It\'s nostalgic. It\'s wonderfully specific. And it comes from that glorious period when manufacturers would put beloved television characters on absolutely anything that could legally be plugged into a wall.
As God intended.
