2015 Volkswagen Golf TSI hatchback with just under 100,000 miles. Selling due to a recently diagnosed blown head gasket, and upsizing our family. The vehicle is being sold as-is, for repair, engine replacement, or parts.
This Golf was meticulously maintained throughout ownership, with routine maintenance performed on schedule and mechanical issues addressed promptly rather than deferred. The car did experience water-pump/cooling-system issues during its life; each occurrence was brought in for service and the water pump was replaced promptly when indicated. Unfortunately, despite consistent maintenance, the vehicle was recently diagnosed with a failed head gasket, and I have decided not to invest in the repair.
The car has a number of desirable features and is otherwise in very good condition:
- 1.8L TSI turbocharged engine
- Automatic transmission
- Leather interior in very good condition
- Upgraded/great-sounding audio system
- Professionally tinted windows
- Hatchback configuration with excellent cargo space and cargo cover
- Approximately 100,000 miles
- Four brand-new BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S+ tires, purchased June 2026 for approximately $700
- Consistently maintained and serviced
- Interior and body have been cared for throughout ownership
The current mechanical issue is the head gasket. The car had been experiencing coolant loss and was professionally evaluated, with the shop diagnosing a blown head gasket. I am disclosing this clearly so buyers can evaluate the vehicle appropriately. This is not being represented as a running, problem-free vehicle and should be purchased with the expectation that it will require significant engine repair or replacement.
For someone mechanically inclined, a VW specialist, or someone looking for a clean Golf as a repair project, donor car, or source of valuable components, there is a lot here. The interior, wheels/tires, electronics, body components, glass, audio equipment, and numerous other parts remain valuable.
Vehicle is located in Washington State. Buyer is responsible for pickup/towing and transportation.
Please ask any questions before offerding or purchasing. Vehicle is sold as-is with the known head-gasket issue fully disclosed.
