4 Vintage Japanese \"Various Plates\" Gold-Toned Lacquerware Box Various Designs For Sale

Much of what I am sharing here is what I have gleaned from the internet in addition to the describing the item I have on hand for sale.
This is a vintage set including a wooden box holding four gold-toned lacquerware plates.
The wooden box measures 6 x 6 x 2 1/4\". The lid is a little warped but does still fit. The black characters on the lid reads \"various plates\".
The plates are gold-toned, each with a different motif. They are just over 5 1/4\" in diameter.
One plate depicts a theatre mask
One plate depicts a plum blossom
One plate depicts a bamboo plant/tree
Once plate depicts a script which appears to be a game played to memorize a traditional Japanese drinking/hand game song \"Konpira Fune Fune . . .\". For more info, see the internet.
There is a sticker on the underside which reads Japan, which I believe to be an inspection sticker.
As earlier stated above, these were preowned, but I do not know if they were previously pre-used. Perhaps used for nuts or dried fruits.
