Lovely set of 9 plates hand painted for Higgins & Seiter, a New York-based importer and retailer of fine china and glass. Higgins and Seiter was known for selling high quality merchandise imported from Europe and was one of the foremost dealers in tableware during the late 19th century and early 20th century. They bear the pink bell mark used by T&V Limoges from 1892 to 1907.All of the plates are painted with the text\" Style Vieux Rouen\" which translates to \"Old Rouen Style \" and describes the decorative pattern of the porcelain. They also bear the number 2377 which likely is the pattern number. They measure 8.75 inch diameter.
